A superlative Golf course

Since 1997 the asparagus-growing community of St. Leon-Rot has a golf-course within its district, which not only conveys the vastness of the Rhine plain but also a pleasant golf experience, as it is favoured by the warm climate with low rainfall. When building this course great importance was attached to the fact that this sports place harmoniously fits into  the landscape and for which the ecological factor also plays a large role.

We would like to give you an impression of this golf experience on the Rhine plain with a few pictures (copyright: Golf Club St. Leon-Rot).

The facilities offer an 18-hole course named “Rot”, an 18-hole course named “St.Leon” and a 9-hole short course as well as a bambini course with 5 holes. Generous training facilities, a driving range, various putting and chipping greens and a video analysis centre round up this offer.

Many golfers enjoy playing on the golf course of St.Leon-Rot  (championship course “St. Leon”, par 72 (36 + 36), CR 73.8 and slope 125, 6,518 m), on which the European Championships for golf professionals have already taken place 4 times. The local golf club has also organized the youth’s tournament “German  Boys and Girls Open” 4 times.
