Applying for a user ID for university libraries of the state
Do you require a user ID in order to borrow books or other media from a university library? You must apply for this.
The requirements for obtaining a user ID are regulated by the university libraries differently. This also applies to borrowing terms.
The exact regulations can be found in the user code of the respective university library. These can be found on their Internet pages.
The issuing of a user ID must be applied for personally at the library.
Note: At most university libraries, the student ID card, uni card or service ID of the local university are the user ID. However for the first registration you must, as a rule, appear personally.
At some university libraries you must also submit an application form, which can also be partly filled in online. As a rule you can also obtain this form from the lending counter. Further information can be obtained on the respective Internet pages of the university libraries.
The research or ordering of media can also be done via the Internet in many cases. Information concerning this topic can be found on the Internet pages of the respective university library.
